Who is Oga of OgaвЂ™s Cantina? The name is Oga Garra, and she is the elusive crime boss that runs OgaвЂ™s Cantina and much of Black Spire Outpost. So far this hasnвЂ™t happened yet, but Disney has a big opportunity to make this a great entertainment venue as well as dining. Imagine you are enjoying a meal and all of a sudden a bounty hunter starts a fight in the cantina, creates chaos and gets hauled off to jail, just like in a real Star Wars cantina. Disney says you might even вЂњencounter a friendвЂ¦or a foeвЂќ which makes me think that we will be visited by random characters from the Star Wars universe from time to time. OgaвЂ™s Cantina is the perfect dining location on a remote outpost like GalaxyвЂ™s Edge and servesВ pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, locals, and galactic travelers alike. But hey, itвЂ™s a Star Wars bar so it was time for a change! OgaвЂ™s Cantina is the first public dining venue in Disneyland that serves alcohol (Club 33 does but itвЂ™s private). ThereвЂ™s also a Fast Casual Restaurant called Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo which is opening at the same time. OgaвЂ™s Cantina is only one of the two dining locations located in Star Wars GalaxyвЂ™s Edge and is a bar/lounge.

How to Get Reservations for OgaвЂ™s Cantina.

All of the drinks here are served on tap which helps them arrive to guests quickly. While the bartending Cast Members serve drinks, they donвЂ™t actually mix anything. Here, all guests have designated servers. The lit-up bar shown brightly in contrast to the otherwise dimly lit space. While the cantina remained full, Cast Members were extremely organized in showing people their assigned spaces at the bar. However, we didnвЂ™t find this to be the case at all. Before going to OgaвЂ™s, we heard that it is so crowded people cannot walk. We (Monica and Susan) were a little hesitant to have a reserved spot at the bar rather than a table. Of course all of the signs are written in Aurebesh, the language of Batuu. Check out the cool drink dispensers above.Д®very nook and cranny makes guests feel like theyвЂ™re no longer in a theme park. There are otherworldy creatures throughout this tiny space. The immersive details here are absolutely amazing. Tip: If youвЂ™re hungry, OgaвЂ™s Cantina may not be the best place to go. I donвЂ™t recommend coming here for the food. They also said they expected more from the food here. While the presentation looks interesting, it fell flat on taste according to our neighbors. Disney describes it as cured and roasted meats, cheese, and pork cracklings. Guests beside us at the bar area ordered the Happabore Sampler. Unless youвЂ™re a fan of really thick and hard-to-chew vegetable chips, skip this one.

If you dislike cilantro, this is not the snack your looking for! Chermoula dip consists of cumin, lemon, garlic, cilantro and/or coriander, and olive oil. The sauce would have been tasty with tortilla chips. However, these were thick and extremely difficult to bite into. Dehydrated vegetable chips are usually crunchy and light. It was not good! The white round bits were a little sweet and dissolved in your mouth similar to malted milk balls. I (Susan) have no idea what the food item is beside the sauce. Not very descriptive!ДЄfter careful analysis (not really), we figured out that the bits were mostly dehydrated vegetable chips. Disney describes the Batuu Bits as crispy galaxy snack bits with spiced chermoula dip. Also, it was difficult to figure out exactly what we were eating. It was so dark inside that we thought the sauce was red before photographing with a flash. Food here is classified as вЂњsnacksвЂќ on My Disney Experience.
